The weekly National Fast Track Resistance call is tonight (Wednesday, May 13) at 9 pm EDT/6 pm Pacific.
If you have registered, you will receive a reminder from InterOccupy with the phone number and your PIN. If you have not registered, you can do that by clicking on this link.
Tonight's featured guest is Tupac Enrique Acosta of Tonatierra who will speak about trade agreements and human migration.
Thanks to your good work and the work of this broad movement of movements, we had a win yesterday in the Senate when fast track was prevented from coming to the floor for debate.
This win is a reason to celebrate because the Senate was considered a place where fast track would pass easily and this is not happening. But we know that Obama is putting tremendous pressure on the Democratic Senators and that leadership is working late into the night to negotiate a deal.
After our featured guest's presentation and the Q and A period, we will give a legislative update and move into a discussion of next steps to stop the TPP.
Right now we are winning, but the pro-trade side has a lot of resources which make our win fragile. We must persevere and continue to delay a vote on fast track if we are to stop the TPP.
Please invite your friends to join the call.
Thank you for standing on the justice side of history!
