WASHINGTON (VR) —The economic situation in the United States is somewhat better off than in Europe, according to Green Shadow Cabinet Fed Reserve Chair, Jack Rasmus, a professor of political economy at St. Mary's College in California and the author of “Obama’s Economy: Recovery for the Few”.

The reasons for this are manifold, including prolonged austerity programs, no fiscal stimulus and no real bank bailout, which Rasmus asserts has hampered recovery for five or six years.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today voted to begin the process of formally setting new net neutrality rules for web traffic which allows cable companies to provide prioritized data flows for those who pay, relegating other content providers to second rate speeds.

Green Shadow Cabinet Attorney General Kevin Zeese, and Health Secretary, Margaret Flowers, have been camping outside the FCC since May 8, creating the People's Firewall for Net Neutrality, in order to draw attention to the issue.
